A Place for Peace Fundraiser

Abby from Third Grade Bookworm is having a fundraiser for a former student.  Ruby had Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and lost her life a year ago. Abby recently learned that Ruby's parents were not able to afford a headstone for her grave. They are struggling to pay off Ruby's medical debts and keep up with their everyday bills.  Aileen (another of Ruby's teachers) and Abby want to help give the family the ability to give Ruby a proper "place for Peace."

Click on the image below, if you would like to help.  For your $20 donation, you will receive $120 worth of products.

Let all help Ruby's parents in their time of need.

Do you teach World History?

Long before I started selling on TpT, I purchased materials from the site.  Our 6th grade SS textbook is horrible.  There is hardly any information on any of the topics I have to cover.  One of the best resources I have found are reading passages and questions from Lion Lady. She sells them in sets, or you can purchase just the reading passage you need.
Click here to go to Lion Lady's store.
I personally own the following resources:
Scientific Revolution
The Middle Ages
Ancient Rome
Industrial Revolution
Ancient Greece
The Enlightenment

She just posted the following and I will be getting these when we cover them next:

Renaissance
Reformation

I hope this is a resource that you can benefit from, it has saved me a ton of time trying to find other resources.

Are you a country music fan?

One of my high school friends, Jeff Marino, is the drummer for Darius Rucker. I've been a fan of Hootie (and the Blowfish) since I was in high school.  I had kinda gotten away from country music when I learned that Jeff was playing with Darius.  Of course I then had to go check out his new material.  I really liked it.  A couple of years ago, Darius performed a little concert for the NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis.  Even though it was cold and rainy, I made hubby go out with me to see it.  I am so glad that I did.  I hadn't seen Jeff in many years, but after spending many, many weekends together in marching band (yes, I was a band geek for part of high school) it was nice to see what he was doing as an "adult."

Ryan Seacrest was the MC.

Here is Jeff and the guitar player.

Jeff and I (I hate this pic, I think I look like a little Hobbit!)

And the reason I posted this whole thing is the new video.  It has the men from Duck Dynasty in it.

Check it out!

It's a Birthday Sale!

Today is my 40th birthday!  Yes, I'm a fool baby.  I hated my birthday growing up because I was always being pranked.  Last year on my birthday I was roaming the ruins of Pompeii.  I don't think I will ever be able to beat that experience.  But I wanted to do something for my birthday so I decided to throw a sale in my TpT store.   Today only my entire store is 20% off. If you haven't been there lately, I've added several sets of new frames and background papers both of which you can use on your cover pages for your products.  Don't forget to check out my educational materials too!
