You can use the cm cubes or 1 in. tiles for ratios and proportions. I also use the cm cubes for volume and probability. A set of white boards with a coordinate grid on them is nice too. I have some, but not a class set.

I hope that gives you some ideas!Amy Alvishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06719323597192843121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979799310335591814.post-38217692203074472292013-06-01T01:46:43.239-04:002013-06-01T01:46:43.239-04:00Well, well, well. I had some stuff when I taught K 3 years ago-hmmmm....wonder if I can find them AND if I can use them.

So if I could only buy 3 types of manipulatives for 6th grade math what would you suggest? :)

Shannon
http://www.irunreadteach.wordpress.com

Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13149662695273911122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979799310335591814.post-47860138836859111362013-05-31T17:17:40.132-04:002013-05-31T17:17:40.132-04:00Took some pictures for you!Took some pictures for you!Amy Alvishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06719323597192843121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979799310335591814.post-81605140704693581422013-05-31T17:17:26.849-04:002013-05-31T17:17:26.849-04:00I added a picture of where I keep my boards. Trying to decide if I want mine in the cupboard or in their desks.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02654901427437545328noreply@blogger.com
